🌟 Learning Beyond the Classroom

In August 2024, 25 senior students from the Stephaneum Gymnasium embarked on an English speaking journey to Berlin, diving into the world of entrepreneurship and filmmaking through LevelUp’s immersive workshops.

✨ From a Covid Solution to a New Tradition

The Stephaneum Gymnasium group first joined LevelUp English during Covid, looking for an alternative after their planned London trip was cancelled. Experiencing our unique approach to language learning, global perspectives, and real-world skills in Berlin, they made a big decision—to replace their annual London trip with LevelUp English in Berlin!

Since then, this has become an established tradition, with Stephaneum returning every year for three consecutive years.

📍 Why Berlin? As one of Europe's most multicultural cities, Berlin provides an ideal environment for an English immersion experience, where students interact with native and non-native speakers in a truly global setting.

🎭 Workshop Highlights

Mornings were spent at the Cambridge Innovation Centre, a modern co-working space (and home to LevelUp’s office!) where students participated in:

• 💡 Entrepreneurship Bootcamp – Developing business plans with guidance from international trainers.
• 🎬 Filmmaking Workshop – Creating short films, exploring storytelling and learning video production techniques.

In the afternoons, students enjoyed team-building activities like our Pub Quiz, Bowling and Street Food tours at Berlin’s famous Markthalle 9.
